can’t get to the game ad is frozen

No luck with deleting history and I don’t see any adblock extensions. The ad is a short way into its play and the gear is spinning and I can’t activate pause button or take any action. Same for other MahJong games beyond “more time” game. I have rebooted laptop and Chrome. Disappointing as this was a favorite. Thanks for any help.
The only other suggestion I have is to try another browser. Sorry.
